Re: Musica
The Bonnie Blue Flag.
"The Irish Jaunting Car" suena así:
http://www.zonacharrua.com/muj/www.fond ... index.html
Y ésta es su letra:
"The Irish Jaunting Car"
My name is Larry Doolan,
I'm a native of the soil,
If you want a day's diversion,
I'll drive you out in style,
My car is painted red and green,
and on the door a star,
And the pride of Dublin city
is my Irish jaunting car.
CHORUS:
Then if you want to hire me,
step into Mickey Mar's,
And ask for Larry Doolan,
and his Irish jaunting cars.
When Queen Victoria came to Ireland
her health to revive,
She asked the Lord Lieutenant
to take her out to ride,
She replied unto his greatness,
before they travl'd far,
How delightful was the jogging
of the Irish jaunting car.
CHORUS:
I'm hired by drunken men,
teetotalers, and my friends,
But a carman has so much to do,
his duty never ends;
Night and day both wet and dry,
I travel near and far,
And at night I count the earnings
of my Irish jaunting car.
CHORUS:
Some say the Russian bear is tough,
and I believe it's true,
Though we beat them at the Alma
and Balaklava too,
But if our Connaught Rangers
would bring home the Russian Czar,
I would drive them off to blazes
in my Irish Jaunting Car.
CHORUS:
Some say all wars are over,
and I hope to God they are,
For you know full well they never
were good for a Jaunting Car,
But peace and plenty - may they reign
here both near and far,
Then we'll drive to feasts and festivals
in an Irish Jaunting car.
CHORUS:
They say they are in want of men,
the French and English too,
And it's all about their commerce now
they don't know what to do;
But if they come to Ireland,
our jolly sons to mar, I'll drive then to the devil
in my Irish jaunting car.

Re: Musica
The Bonnie Blue Flag.
The Bonnie Blue Flag por Bobby Horton:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2F-drjU ... ntrinter=1
The Bonnie Blue Flag
We are a band of brothers
And native to the soil
Fighting for our liberty
With treasure blood, and toil
And when our rights were threatened,
The cry rose near and far
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star!
Refrain:
Hurrah!
Hurrah!
For Southern rights, hurrah!
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star.
As long as the Union
Was faithful to her trust
Like friends and brethren,
Kind were we, and just
But now, when Northern treachery
Attempts our rights to mar
We hoist on high the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star.
First gallant South Carolina
Nobly made the stand
Then came Alabama
And took her by the hand
Next, quickly Mississippi,
Georgia, and Florida
All raised on high the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star.
Ye men of valor gather
Round the banner of the right
Texas and fair Louisiana
Join us in the fight
Davis, our loved President,
And Stephens statesmen are
Now rally round the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star.
And here's to brave Virginia
The Old Dominion state
With the young Confederacy
At length has linked her fate
Impelled by her example
Now other states prepare
To hoist on high the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears the single star.
Then here's to our Confederacy
Strong we are and brave
Like patriots of old we'll fight
Our heritage to save
And rather than submit to shame
To die we would prefer
So cheer for the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears the single star.
Then cheer boys cheer
Raise the joyous shout
For Arkansas and North Carolina
Now have both gone out
And let another rousing cheer
For Tennessee be given
The single star on the Bonnie Blue Flag
Has grown to be eleven.
And to Missouri we
Extend both heart and hand
And welcome her a sister
Of our Confederate band
Tho surrounded by oppression
No one dare deter
Her adding to our Bonnie Blue Flag
Her bright and twelfth star!
"Fighting for our liberty
With treasure blood, and toil"
Que son sustituidos por éstos otros:
"Fighting for the property
We gained by honest toil;"

The Bonnie Blue Flag. Secuelas I.
Sursumkorda´s Productions Presents: Surrender at Appomattox Rendición en Appomattox:

: warning to all such fanatics as Lincoln, Greeley, & co..", publicado en 1863.
"THE LONE STAR FLAG".
Mount, mount, and speed away to Louisiana's prairies wide,
Th' avenging sword is our sceptre, the fleet steed our pride;
Raise up! Our "Lone Star Flag", let its single Star gleam out,
Mount! mount! and speed away, put the Yan-kees to route!
Chorus
Hurrah! hurrah! for Southern Rights, hurrah!
Hurrah! for the Texan flag, that bears the Lone Star.
We care not for danger, nor heed the vile Northern foe,
Where e'er our brave steeds bear us, right onward we will go;
And ne'er, as Yankees, can we "skedaddle" from the fight,
While our hands wield the sword, and our Star sheds its light.
Spoken - (Forward! Counter-march, by file right! march!)
Delay not, but speed away, give the fleet steed the rein,
The Texan bold is to the Rescue, the Battle again,
Dash on! to Berwick's Bay; rush quickly to the fight,
Cry "Vengeance for Mumford!" and may God speed the right.
The Yankee vandal hordes, gather thick on our way,
They hear our defiant shout, as we rush to the fray;
What's to us the fear of Manasseh's death-stricken Plain,
"We have brav'd it before, and will brave it again!"
(Skirmish on the route)
Spoken - (Get ready! Fire!
Br-r rang! bang! bang ---bang!)
The death dealing bullets all around us may fall,
They may strike, they may kill, but they cannot appall,
Through battles we'll follow Magruder and 'venge "Stonewall,"
While our breast bears a true heart, and our guns carry ball.
Hurrah! my boys, Hurrah! we're governed by whom we please,
No abhorred Yankee banner now floats in the breeze.
'Tis SECESSIA'S Flag that waves o'er Galveston's height,
And on its glorious folds our Lone Star sheds its light.
(Skirmish at Berwick Bay.
Spoken - Get ready! Fire! Br-r-rang! bang! bang! -- bang!
Spoken - Head of column! to the left! march!)
Urge your horses swiftly on, give the fleet steed the rein,
The Texan bold is to the Rescue, the Battle again,
Rush on to New Orleans; rush bravely to the fight,
Cry "Vengeance for the South!" and God will speed the right.
Y un nuevo verso sobre FORT SUMTER:
And here's a Tiger for the brave, and noble little band,
Which stood the fight and bravely drove the Yankees all away;
At SUMTER thrice they maintained and kept a gallant stand,
And lastly made the storming hordes skedaddle in dismay.
Chorus
Hurray! hurray! for the Sumter boys, Hurray!
Hurray for the Sumter boys, who brick-batt'd them all away!

Re: Musica
The Bonnie Blue Flag. Secuelas II.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLJnYYdn ... playnext=2
Ella, sí Is a Southern Girl:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=its9mwjV ... 9067181CA2
The Southern Girl, The Homespun Dress.
Oh, yes, I am a Southern girl,
And glory in the name,
And boast it with far greater pride
Than glittering wealth and fame.
We envy not the Northern girl
Her robes of beauty rare,
Though diamonds grace her snowy neck
And pearls bedeck her hair.
CHORUS: Hurrah! Hurrah!
For the sunny South so dear;
Three cheers for the homespun dress
The Southern ladies wear!
The homespun dress is plain, I know,
My hat's palmetto, too;
But then it shows what Southern girls
For Southern rights will do.
We send the bravest of our land
To battle with the foe,
And we will lend a helping hand--
We love the South, you know.--CHORUS
Now Northern goods are out of date;
And since old Abe's blockade,
We Southern girls can be content
With goods that's Southern made.
We send our sweethearts to the war;
But, dear girls, never mind--
Your soldier-love will ne'er forget
The girl he left behind.--CHORUS
The soldier is the lad for me--
A brave heart I adore;
And when the sunny South is free,
And when fighting is no more,
I'll choose me then a lover brave
From all that gallant band;
The soldier lad I love the best
Shall have my heart and hand.--CHORUS
The Southern land's a glorious land,
And has a glorious cause;
Then cheer, three cheers for Southern rights,
And for the Southern boys!
We scorn to wear a bit of silk,
A bit of Northern lace,
But make our homespun dresses up,
And wear them with a grace.--CHORUS
And now, young man, a word to you:
If you would win the fair,
Go to the field where honor calls,
And win your lady there.
Remember that our brightest smiles
Are for the true and brave,
And that our tears are all for those
Who fill a soldier's grave.--CHORUS

sorse l'invitta Decima Legione,
vinse sul campo il barbaro nemico
Roma riebbe pace con onore.
Quando l'ignobil otto di Settembre
abbandonò la Patria il traditore,
sorse dal mar la Decima Flottiglia
e prese l'armi al grido "Per l'Onore!".
Decima, Flottiglia nostra
che beffasti l'Inghilterra,
vittoriosa ad Alessandria,
Malta, Suda e Gibilterra.
Vittoriosa già sul mare,
ora pure sulla terra
Vincerai!
Navi d'Italia che ci foste tolte,
non in battaglia ma col tradimento,
nostri fratelli prigionieri o morti
noi vi facciamo questo giuramento:
noi vi giuriamo che ritorneremo
là dove Dio volle il tricolore,
noi vi giuriamo che combatteremo
finchè riavremo pace con onore!
Decima, Flottiglia nostra
che beffasti l'Inghilterra,
vittoriosa ad Alessandria,
Malta, Algeri e Gibilterra.
Vittoriosa già sul mare,
ora pure sulla terra
Vincerai!

The Bonnie Blue Flag. Secuelas y III (Espero).
"The Irish Volunteer" - Es una canción de la Brigada Irlandesa (Unión), con la música de "The Irish Jaunting Car" - "The bonnie Blue Flag". .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yavz9rzaOSY
"THE IRISH VOLUNTEER"
My name is Tim McDonald, I'm a native of the Isle,
I was born among old Erin's bogs when I was but a child.
My father fought in " 'Ninety-eight," for liberty so dear;
He fell upon old Vinegar Hill, like and Irish volunteer.
Then raise the harp of Erin, boys, the flag we all revere--
We'll fight and fall beneath its folds, like Irish volunteers!
Chorus: Then raise the harp of Erin, boys, the flag we all revere--
We'll fight and fall beneath its folds, like Irish volunteers!
When I was driven form my home by an oppressor's hand,
I cut my sticks and greased my brogues, and came o'er to this land.
I found a home an many friends, and some that I love dear;
Be jabbers! I'll stick to them like bricks and an Irish volunteer.
Then fill your glasses up, my boys, and drink a hearty cheer,
To the land of our adoption and the Irish volunteer!
Chorus: Then fill your glasses up, my boys, and drink a hearty cheer,
To the land of our adoption and the Irish volunteer!
Now when the traitors in the south commenced a warlike raid,
I quickly then laid down my hod, to the devil went my spade!
To a recruiting-office then I went, that happened to be near,
And joined the good old "Sixty-ninth," like and Irish volunteer.
Then fill the ranks and march away!--no traitors do we fear;
We'll drive them all to blazes, says the Irish volunteer.
Chorus: Then fill the ranks and march away!--no traitors do we fear;
We'll drive them all to blazes, says the Irish volunteer.
When the Prince of Wales came over here, and made a hubbaboo,
Oh, everybody turned out, you know, in gold and tinsel too;
But then the good old Sixty-ninth didn't like these lords or peers--
They wouldn't give a d--n for kings, the Irish volunteers!
We love the land of Liberty, its laws we will revere,
"But the divil take nobility!" says the Irish volunteer!
Choru: We love the land of Liberty, its laws we will revere,
"But the divil take nobility!" says the Irish volunteer!
Now if the traitors in the South should ever cross our roads,
We'll drive them to the divil, as Saint Patrick did the toads;
We'll give them all short nooses that come just below the ears,
Made strong and good of Irish hemp by Irish volunteers.
Then here's to brave McClellan, whom the army now reveres--
He'll lead us on to victory, the Irish volunteers.
Chorus: Then here's to brave McClellan, whom the army now reveres--
He'll lead us on to victory, the Irish volunteers.
Now fill your glasses up, my boys, a toast come drink with me,
May Erin's Harp and the Starry Flag united ever be;
May traitors quake, and rebels shake, and tremble in their fears,
When next they meet the Yankee boys and Irish volunteers!
God bless the name of Washington! that name this land reveres;
Success to Meagher and Nugent, and their Irish volunteers!
Chorus: God bless the name of Washington! that name this land reveres;
Success to Meagher and Nugent, and their Irish volunteers!

O Battaglion Toscano,
dei belli il più sei tu:
di tutta la Repubblica,
la meglio gioventù!
Qualcuno arriccia il naso,
vorrebbe biasimar...
Ma noi non si fa caso:
si tira a camminar.
E con in testa il nostro comandante,
lo seguiremo lungo il suo cammin!
Canta mitraglia la rumba fulminante,
i legionari siam di Mussolin!
A noi la Morte non ci fa paura -No!
Ci si fidanza e ci si fa all'amor...
Vogliam morire tutti crocifissi

secco fegato, cuor duro,

GOD SAVE THE SOUTH!
Words by Earnest Halpin (George H. Miles)
Music by Charles W.A. Ellerbrock
God save the South, God save the South,
Her altars and firesides, God save the South!
Now that the war is nigh, now that we arm to die,
Chanting our battle cry, "Freedom or death!"
Chanting our battle cry, "Freedom or death!"
God be our shield, at home or afield,
Stretch Thine arm over us, strengthen and save.
What tho' they're three to one, forward each sire and son,
Strike till the war is won, strike to the grave!
Strike till the war is won, strike to the grave!
God made the right stronger than might,
Millions would trample us down in their pride.
Lay Thou their legions low, roll back the ruthless foe,
Let the proud spoiler know God's on our side.
Let the proud spoiler know God's on our side.
Hark honor's call, summoning all.
Summoning all of us unto the strife.
Sons of the South, awake! Strike till the brand shall break,
Strike for dear Honor's sake, Freedom and Life!
Strike for dear Honor's sake, Freedom and Life!
Rebels before, our fathers of yore.
Rebel's the righteous name Washington bore.
Why, then, be ours the same, the name that he snatched from shame,
Making it first in fame, foremost in war.
Making it first in fame, foremost in war.
War to the hilt, theirs be the guilt,
Who fetter the free man to ransom the slave.
Up then, and undismay'd, sheathe not the battle blade,
Till the last foe is laid low in the grave!
Till the last foe is laid low in the grave!
God save the South, God save the South,
Dry the dim eyes that now follow our path.
Still let the light feet rove safe through the orange grove,
Still keep the land we love safe from Thy wrath.
Still keep the land we love safe from Thy wrath.
God save the South, God save the South,
Her altars and firesides, God save the South!
For the great war is nigh, and we will win or die,
Chanting our battle cry, "Freedom or death!"
Chanting our battle cry, "Freedom or death!"
