Rosoboronexport delegation led by MiG CEO Vladimir Barkovski visited Croatia with an offer for 12 MiG-29s to be delivered to the Croatian Air Force for 90 million Euros. Training is included and modernization to NATO standard would be conducted at Zrakoplovno-tehnički centar, Croatia's aerospace company.
Now the downside. The MiGs would be Hungarian second hand aircraft, although ROE guarantees 15 year service life. Weapons are not mentioned and only 12 jets are offered. That, at best in such an old aircraft, gives 6-7 operational aircraft at any one time. Also, the Croatian Air Force conducted a study that found a minimum of 18 and ideally 24 fighters are needed for effective control of our airspace.
un presupuesto global de 2000 billones de euros
